本研究主要利用Färe et al.,(1994)生產面Malmquist生產力指數(tfpch),再細分為生產技術效率變動指數(effch )、技術變動指數(techch ) 、純技術效率變動指數(pech )與規模效率變動指數(sech)等。在2007-2011年間,受評估之台灣生技企業有23.8%之無效率,樣本生技企業管理的無效率是造成生技企業生產技術無效率的主要來源。受評估之生技企業生產力指數effch 、techch、pech、sech、tfpch 平均值分別為1.014,0.992,1.016,0.997及1.008。代表在估計期間受評估生技企業是有0.8%(=1.008-1)的生產面生產力提升。
The study adopts the method of Malmquist Productivity Index (tfpch) developed by Färe et al., (1994) to estimate efficiency and productivity for the biotech companies in Taiwan. Malmquist Productivity Index (tfpch) includes production technical efficiency change (effech), technical change (techch), pure technical efficiency change (pech) and scale efficiency change (sech). In the period of 2007 to 2011, the inefficient management of biotech companies in Taiwan majorly effects production inefficiency of biotech companies. The average values of productivity index, effect, techch, pech, sech and tfpch, are 1.014, 0.992, 1.016, 0.997 and 1.008 respectively. It indicates that the tfpch productivity index of biotech companies in Taiwan has increased about 0.8%.
