摘要

本研究主要在探討園藝活動在老人安養機構的實施歷程及對參與園藝活動院民的健康狀況、人際關係、自我概念之影響，採用質性研究方法，研究場域以一所公立老人安養機構為例，記錄老人園藝活動的規劃、執行的歷程，除了透過參與觀察的資料蒐集方法，了解老人參與園藝活動的過程及行為，並透過量表的施測，了解老人參與園藝活動對其之影響。
研究結果發現老人安養機構實施園藝活動的歷程包括園藝空間設備規劃、團體活動方案設計、老人團體工作技巧運用、人力參與，研究者就在此研究場域工作，因此能以最原始的風貌進行實務上的呈現，並加以探討。另外也強調安養機構照顧理念應重視老人身心健康及結合社會資源的重要。
在對老人的影響部分，從參與觀察資料分析或量表統計對其健康狀況、人際關係、自我概念會有提昇。本研究並建置出老人照顧機構實施園藝活動的模式，可提供要執行園藝活動的機構做參考。

This research mainly studies the administration processes of horticultural activities for older residents in a senior home, and their influence to residents' subjective health, interrelationship,and self-concept who participate in. We use qualitative research method. We take a public "older residents in a senior home" as our study example. The formulation of senior citizen's horticultural activities, and their performing processes were recorded. We not only comprehend the process and behaviors of older citizens' participating in horticultural activities by observing, but also find out the effects of older citizens' participation by gauging quantitatively.
We find out that the administration processes of horticultural activities for older residents in a senior home incorporate the scheme of horticultural space and equipments, the proposal design of group activities, technical applications of older citizens' team work, and the participation of manpower. We researchers work in this field,that's why we can present this work in an original view, and explore it further. Besides, we also emphasize the care concepts of "older residents in a senior home". The organizations should pay much attention to older citizens' health of body and mind, and combine our society resources.
In the part of the effects to older citizens, by analyzing our data or compiling statistics quantitatively, we discover that older citizens could help promote their health,interrelationship, and self-concepts. This research also sets up a pattern for administration horticultural activities of older residents in a senior home. This can provide as a reference for some organizations which will perform horticultural activities in the future.
