摘要


隨著寬頻網路在家庭中愈來愈普及,遠距教學不只可以在校內實行,連在家都可以透過遠距教學讓學生的學習不會因距離而中斷。目前大部分的遠距教學都缺乏師生互動這方面的回饋,學生只能被動接受上課內容,無法獲得課堂互動方面的訓練。過去學校只有在學期末或下學期前看學生評量結果才瞭解學生的學習成效,老師也無法掌握學生學習上的行為與態度。 期末學習評量的成績若是很高,只不過是達成了單方面的教學目標,學生缺乏即時問答等互動,大多無法培養積極主動的學習態度。我們將建置一個web-based的同步視訊教學平台,並設計一連串老師與學生可以互動的機制。老師透過同步視訊得以評估學生的肢體語言或面部表情來調整教學方式,也可以透過即時討論來督促不積極的學生。學生也能藉由即時獲得回饋而提高專注力,有疑問之時也能夠馬上提問得到解答。

With increasing numbers of installed broadband internet household, distance learning is no longer being confined within campuses. Students are able to receive lectures even when they are at remote location. But most of the distance learnings lacked feedback in interactions. Students receive distance learning lectures passively, which fails to train students to be actively learning in a classroom environment. Traditionally schools get student’s feedback report cards only at the end of a semester or before next one starts. Teachers have no way of monitoring students’ learning behaviors throughout the semester. Even if the feedback reports show that students learned the presented material, the learning is at best one-dimensional since they miss out on invaluable classroom interactions. In this thesis research, we will set up a real-time webcam instructor platform that has a web-based interface. A number of mechanisms will be designed to all ow for teachers to interact with students and vice versa. This real -time webcam will help teachers to adjust teaching methods by observing students’ body language or facial expressions, and encourage students to get inv olved by prompt discussions. Students will become more focused since they can receive instant feedbacks from the teacher, and if there is any confusion in lecture, students will be able to ask questions immediately and get an answer.
