隨著電腦與網路科技的日新月異,圖書館在資源管理的效率已明顯提升。而如何有效的將館內資源提供予讀者善用等議題是被重視的。根據相關研究顯示多數讀者在使用圖書館時,對於圖書館內之空間配置,可能造成讀者在圖書館使用空間認知行為上的「迷思」;而造成迷思的原因是讀者對館內環境感到陌生、指示標誌不明確以及空間規劃不良等問題,此時圖書館導覽就顯得重要。 另外一個問題就是目前讀者在借書時,必須先找到電腦查詢書籍,並透過手抄的方式將索書號記下,接著再前往圖書館書庫逐櫃比對索書號,這樣的步驟不但浪費紙張,若因手誤抄錯書號則會找不到該書籍的正確櫃位,相當費時不便。 因此本研究將設計一套讓讀者滿意的行動圖書資訊系統,系統將包含館藏檢索、尋書導引與館內導覽等;透過無線網路技術與Smartphone整合,並結合國內多數圖書館採用的TOTALS圖書管理系統,使系統便於日後移至其他圖書館使用;透過Smartphone隨時可了解圖書館的館藏位置與館藏資訊;並且加入A*路徑演算法求最短路徑,於尋書地圖中繪出正確之導引路線,有效降低讀者尋書花費的時間,實驗結果證明本系統是符合讀者滿意的系統。
The need of library information management keeps rising as computers and the Internet grow up. It is an important topic how to provide readers efficiently. According to related research, most readers might get lost in the library because of the space arrangement. It may be due to different reasons, such as unfamiliarity with the environment, unclear signs, or bad arrangement of space. Therefore, the guidance in library is quite important. In the past, the procedure of borrowing books from the library consists of steps. First, the reader made queries from their own computers. Second they needed to write down a list of book numbers. Finally they sought the books from different bookshelves. It is time-consuming and quite inconvenient. Consequently, we designed a mobile library information system for the purpose. Our design try to satisfy the readers with convenient guidance of books and libraries. Our system exploits different IT trends including wireless network, Smartphone, and the TOTALS management system, which is used by most libraries currently. With a Smartphone on hand, it’s easy to obtain the position and information of books from the service of the proposed mobile library information system. In our system, we employ the A* algorithm to find the shortest paths between the bookshelves in the map of the library. Therefore, the readers can find books easily. Our experiments showed that the proposed system promised the need of the readers in the campus library.
