Introduction to Petö System for Cerebral Palsied Children

Conductive education means education was organised by conductors. The conductor is a generalist, who combines in her function what medicine, education, physiotherapy, speech therapy and psychology have to offer to the education of physically handicapped children. The primany aim of conductive education is to stimulate a developmental process which would not come about spontaneously, will continue subsequently, even when the child has been discharged from the conductive education institute and has been integrated in a regular kindergarden or school. At its best, this process will result in a level of adjustment permitting him to function as a useful and contribution menber of society, and this requires the development of language, attention, and diverse cognitive functions.
