摘要
作者在民國七十三年被派前稱美國舊金山的聖、佛蘭西斯紀念醫院，在Bothin燙傷中心受訓半年。經由物理治療師Leta O'Donnell女士，以及職能治療師陳雪麗女士的悉心指導，對燙傷方面的復健治療得到一個整體性的認識。本篇詳細地介紹美國一般醫院中的燙傷復健的治療程式及內容，希望能提供國內的物理治療師在處理燙傷病人的過程中一個清晰明確的輪廓，進而提高治療的水準。

The rehabilitation objective of the burned patient is to restore optimal function and to prevent fixed deformities from developing, complete rehabilitation program should be started from the very beginning of hospitation and should include positioning, splinting, exercise and pressure therapy. This article tries to give a clear outline of physical therapy program in different burned area and in different stage of recovery.
