Ranula is a pseudocyst that frequently occurs at the mouth floor due to rupture or obstruction of salivary gland. Its content is mainly composed of saliva-like fluid. The rare ranula that is found in the cervical area may be misdiagnosed because of easy confusion with other lesion in the cervical soft tissues. This article reports arare case of cervical ranula. The clinical symptoms and signs of the case are presented and the differential diagnosis is discussed. The relevant literature is reviewed.
