法蘭克福學派：韋努蒂的異化翻譯觀另一面

摘要

韋努蒂的異化翻譯觀不僅受後結構主義哲學思潮的影響，而且整合了法蘭克福學派思想。通過借鑒法蘭克福學派思想，韋努蒂主張異化翻譯，反對以大眾文化和流行美學為基礎的歸化。這種思想的影響下，其翻譯主張具有以下顯著傾向：1)在讀者取向上異化翻譯觀帶有明顯的精英主義色彩；2)在翻譯倫理上異化翻譯觀具有強烈的義務論和反功利主義傾向；3)在理論表述上異化翻譯觀也暴露出泛政治化的傾向。

Lawrence Venuti's theory of foreignizing translation is not only featured with post-structuralism philosophy, but also resulted from the Marxist tradition of the Frankfurt school. Hence, it is obvious that he proposes foreignizing translation in opposition to domestication based on the cultural industry and popular ethics, and that foreignizing translation apparently has elitist, deontological and pan-political theoretical tendencies.
