When it comes to developing a viable course of Translation of Business English at post-graduate level, practical needs of the profession and its expectations on translators should be focused, anchoring both its concepts and practice as the course progresses. Qualifications for professional translators committed to translating business texts are explored through interviews and incorporated into the course schema. The pedagogy should, consequently, be orchestrated around the comprehension of source texts in business context, syntactic streamlining, and rhetoric merits-for students with or without prior content knowledge. This essay also deals with the rationale behind grading policies and some problematic aspects in teaching this course.
