摘要

中醫學中的腎臟實質上多指腎、睾丸、卵巢、下丘腦-垂體和吸氣機能所構成的抽象之「腎」，具有既能「育陰」、「克火」又能生藏「命門之火」雙重的特性和泌尿功能、調節水液、生藏精氣、控制生殖、強化吸氣、促進生長發育、促使骨髓資生、影響二便等功能，其根本性狀和活動狀態常可反映於兩耳。這就是現代化中醫學「腎臟說」的基本觀點。
