摘要

老年人常出現失智症，它卻是影響老年人生活品質與日常功能極為重要的因子，有時甚至如同冰山一角，是嚴重潛在性疾病的主要表徵。在現今醫學發達的今天，這些症狀卻無獲得十分有效的改善。近期中西醫學的合作與努力，使用中醫藥預防與治療也頗獲好評，應積極的態度來關懷。

There is higher risk with older people to have dementia. Dementia affects the quality of life and daily living of this population significantly. To date, even with modern medicine, there is limited improvement of the disease. With the cooperation of Traditional Chinese and Western medicine, we should focus on the role of the prevention and treatment of Traditional Chinese medicine more actively.
