第五蹠骨基底部骨折中醫骨傷科治療病例報告

馬偕中醫部為醫學中心之中醫部，在骨傷科門診，有不少骨科轉介來的患者，因此第五蹠骨骨折，在中醫骨傷科門診，也算是常見的疾病。但是患者在骨折癒合期間感到局部腫脹、疼痛、緊繃、麻木等症狀，除了固定、服用止痛藥、多休息之外，似乎沒有什麼好的處理方法。如何提供患者更好的選擇、改善預後的情形是我輩需要思考、精進的。本案例為筆者門診之患者，經骨科的轉介至中醫門診治療，在兩個月的定期追蹤治療後，骨折的癒合、患處的疼痛及其他伴隨的症狀都有得到顯著的改善，希望能提供給同道一種有效的治療模式以供參考。

We would like to present a case of the fifth metatarsal bone fracture on the left foot and the results of Chinese medicine treatment. In orthopedics clinics, many patients diagnosed with metatarsal bone fractures still suffered from pain and discomfort, especially while weight-bearing after surgery or casting fixation. Oral medication with analgesics and muscle relaxants only has limited effect. However, in the Chinese Medical Orthopedics clinics, we can provide not only additional traditional herbal medicines, but also manipulations and acupuncture treatments. According to the previous studies, Chinese medicine included herbal treatment, manipulation and acupuncture did play a role in improving both bone healing and functional activity. Therefore, we're looking forward to building up the treatment protocol and promoting the quality of life of these patients. In this case report, we will present the therapeutic regimen, clinical course, and treatment outcome.
