Selecting Informational Picture Books for Elementary EFL Learning

摘要


本文介紹知識類圖畫書,思考結合該類型圖書投入國小英語閱讀教學的教育意義。本文首先嘗試理解當前語文教育的潮流以及未來素養導向課綱對學童英語文學習的期待。然後,就英語文閱讀教學的脈絡,提供知識類圖畫書的操作型定義,比較圖畫故事書和知識類圖畫書的差異,並介紹若干相關資訊,作為國小教學現場選擇英語學習資源的參考。

This essay outlines the pedagogical implications of informational picture books as reading resources for elementary EFL learning in Taiwan. It first describes the key role they play in the literacy curriculum developed and implemented in different countries. It then takes a closer look at the informational picture books, comparing them with picture storybooks. The essay finally lists some relevant sources for the classroom.
