Apply Team Resource Management to Enhance Integrity in Peritoneal Dialysis Catheter Implant

The priority of hospital administration is patient safety. The goal is hard to achieve by individual or single unit. It needs a cooperation of team members. The medical care of peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients initiates in the PD catheter implant. The key components of success in PD catheter implant are team-work integrity. Those include pre-operative order prescription and education, material preparation, order transfer etc. We apply team resource management to enhance communication, acknowledge in nursing care, and finally to achieve integrity for PD catheter implant.
