In this study, it is intended to characterize the consciousness of Teakwondo elite athletes toward the leadership behavior of their respective coaches in Taiwan. Scale of leadership behavior for outstanding Teakwondo coaches in Taiwan was applied for the survey. Sample included those athletes who were representatives from each county and city of this nation in the 2003 National Teakwondo competition. The results of statistical analyses were as follows: 1. Leadership behavior of Teakwondo coaches that had been recognized by athletes tended to focus on training and instructions; social support behavior; democratic behavior and positive feedback rather than autocratic behavior. 2. Leadership behavior of Teakwondo coaches that had been recognized by athletes in which significant variation was found only with reference to the days of training and no significant was found from genders; classes; years of training; achievements and the years with coaches.
