台灣產血藤屬植物有:大血藤(Mucuna gigantea (WILLD. ) DC. subsp. tashiroi (HAYATA) OHASHI & TATEISHI )、血藤(M. macrocarpa WALL. )、蘭嶼血藤(M.membranacea HAYATA)、虎爪豆(M. puriens(L.) DC. var. utilis(WALL. ex WIGHT) BURCK)等四種。其藥材至今仍為民間常用中藥,一般將其藤菁切片,泡製成藥酒飲用,有補血,活血,緩解腰膝疼痛之功效。本研究將血藤屬植物粗碎後經50%乙醇溶液萃取,將萃取液乾燥為粉末,以福馬林試驗研究四種藥材之鎮痛作用及急性毒性試驗評估其安全性。結果顯示:四種藥材中之大血藤、血藤具有周邊神經系統之鎮痛效果;而蘭嶼血藤及虎爪豆則有中樞神經系統之鎮痛作用;四種血藤屬植物之LD(下標50)均大於10g/kg,顯示其急性毒性甚低。

The Mucuna genus (Leguminosae) includes 4 species in Taiwan: Hucuna gigantea (\VILLD.) DC. subsp. tashiroi (HAYATA) OHASIII & TATEISHI (mul), M.macrocarpa WALL. (mu2), M. membranacea HAYATA (um3) and M. puriens (L.) DC. var. utilis (WALL. ex WIGHT) BURCK (mu4). The dried stem of mul, nu2, mu3, and nu4 was prepared pieces of herbal medicine for medicated wine. It had been used in folk medicine as enrich the blood and promote blood circulation, remission the pain of waist and knee. In this study, the air-dried stem of mul, mu2, mu3, and mu4 was ground and ref luxed with 50% EtOH and then was filtered and lyophilized to obtain the powder respectively. We evaluated analgesic activity by using the formalin test and their safety by using acute toxicity test. In the formal in test, mul, mu2, mu3 and mu4 produced analgesic effect. The analgesic mechanism of mul and mu2 may be related to action on peripheral nervous system. The analgesic mechanism of mu3 and inu4 may be related to action on central nervous system. The oral LD5o of the mul, mu2, mu3 and mu4 was more than 10 g/kg.
