Hypoglycemic Come Due to Hypopituitarism (Sheehan's Syndrome): A Case Report
產後腦垂腺低能症：病例報告及文獻回顧
摘要
腦垂腺低能症是缺乏腦垂腺素的疾病。腦垂腺低能症的症狀是多變的。腦垂腺低能症病情的進展速度，除了極少見的腦垂腺中風（急性腺體出血）外通常是緩慢漸進的。我們提出一例32歲女性，產後腦垂腺低能症引起低血糖病例報告。八年前病患生產雙胞胎時有產後休克的病史，之後一直無月經。近幾年來常無力及身體不適。對於低血糖的發生，是腎上皮質促素(ACTH)或者生長素(GH)的缺乏都有可能性。

Hypopituitarism is the partial or complete insufficiency of anterior-pituitary hormone secretion and may result from pituitary or hypothalamic disease. The development of signs and symptoms is often slow and insidious, depending on rate of onset and magnitude of hypothalamic pituitary damage factors that are influenced by the underlying pathogenesis. Glucose metabolism is usually not markedly altered and hypoglycemic reaction is uncommon in nondiabetic hypopituitary patients. We report a case of hypoglycemic coma due to hormonal deficiency secondary to hypopituitarism (Sheehan's syndrome).
