摘要

In Taiwan, the mortality rate of cervical carcinoma was ranked 6th in female carcinoma, and 2nd in reproductive system carcinoma, after breast carcinoma. The occurrence of cervical carcinoma was associated with early and frequently sexual exposure and virus infection. Especially, human papillomavirus (HPV) was most correlative with cervical carcinoma. In western medicine, treatment for cervical carcinoma included surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy The patient, 55 y/o female, adenosquamous carcinoma of cervix was diagnosed and received uterus and fallopian tube total resection in March, 2007. After surgery, she received 6 course of CCRT (Cisplatin) therapy during May to June, 2007. Unfortunately, on October 30, 2007, CEA>500 and multiple metastasis in liver and bone were noted. Then she received chemotherapy (Carboplatin+Phytol) on Jan 8, 2008. After chemotherapy, many symptoms were showed. For preventing the side effect of next chemotherapy, she took Chinese medicine. After taking the Chinese medicine, symptoms were relived and she didn't feel any discomfort after the next chemotherapy. We think Chinese medicine could prevent and repair the side effects of chemotherapy.
