This 44 year-old unmarried woman has progressive dysmenorrhea since her menarche. She then diagnosed as endometriosis and received laparoscopic excision of left endometrioma and leiomyoma, combined with dienogest treatment. However, she complained sudden onset aggravated and prolonged lower abdominal pain (NRS 7-10/10) accompanying diarrhea and coldness/numbness of legs for 1 month. Due to poor life quality, so she visited for traditional Chinese medicine treatment. After TCM treating for 1 month, her complaints were significantly improved. We discuss the clinical rationale of this case.
