摘要

對一位從事視覺設計與創作的設計者而言，著實地面臨了－革命性的新工具－「電腦」。這對一傳統設計家而言，勢將成為一項夢魘。其實這倒不盡然，由於在此所要針對及強調的是一全新的程式語言，即頁描述語言或是視覺語言。本程式語言具有易學、易懂、易操作等優點，比起BASIC、PASCAL及C等高階程式語言，來得更容易些，非常適合藝術家、插畫家及設計家們來使用。
當然，本文所要針對及強調的重點，是以頁描述語言（Page Description Language）為運用工具，設計並創作以圖案設計之美學造型原理為目的的角度，來整合藝術、設計、數學、美學及邏輯思維於一體的新設計理念。期望能藉由以美學及視覺設計為出發點，並藉助邏輯思維的模式，做為設計與創作的新嘗試及發想，開創另一條藝術創作的新空間。更進而以「整合性學程」的新觀點，結合數學、美學、哲學、人文學及心理學於一的新美學體系（或全方位美學體系）為依歸。

To a Designer, in his/her works of visual and creative design, greatly faces a revolutionary new tool—personal computer. This new trend will become a nightmare to a traditional designer. Actually, it’s not an absolutely right answer. Here, there is a brand new kind of programming language — it is there is Page Description Language (PDL) or laser printer language or visual language. This language featured in easy to learn, easy to understand and easy to manipulate. Compare to Basic, pascal and C high-level programming language, PDL is more switable for graphic artists, illustrators and graphic designers to use with.
Bascially, the main topic of this paper will focus on the application tool of PDL, to create the beauty of graphic art. To integrate art graphic design, mathematics, aesthetics, and logical thinking to achive a new design concept. And, try to start form aesthetics and visual design, then by means of the mode of logical thinking, to be a new temptation of graphic design and creative potential to let a new space to open for another graphic art creation. Above all, the new point of view of integration knowledgement, which combine together with mathematics, philosephr, humanity and psychology to show a new world of aesthetic system.
