摘要

農業不僅提供基本民生所需，安定社會經濟基礎，同時也提供充裕廉價原料，支援工商發展。近年來由於工商業快速發展，人類經濟活動頻繁，生活水準提高。其所產生之廢氣、廢水和廢棄物等對環境造成衝擊，也影響了農業生產品質。農業生產過程中亦會排放污染物而造成環境品質下降。然而農業生產時亦會吸收污染物，分解污染物而淨化環境，對環境品質有正面的意義。為使同學對農業生產與環境保育間之關係有更深一層認識，對農業生產有更進一步了解，因而特別請四位與農業生產及環境保育有關之老師就上述之課題講授通識教育課程，使同學了解今天農業的生產不應只追求產量提昇，同時應注重生態保育、發展休閒農業和達到農業綠化的功能，如此農業生產方能持續，環境品質亦能永久維持，生態可保持平衡。永續農業的理想以及環境保育之理念方得以逐漸實現。因而本文僅就農業與環境保育之通識教育方面實施情形，提供國人參考。

Agricultrural production provides the need of human life, stabilizes the development of social economics, and supplies the raw materials of industry and commerce. Due to the rapid development of industry and commerce, high frequency of human activities, and improvement of life quality, the environmental quality and agricultural products are affected by the waste gas, polluted water, and solid waste from the domestic and industrial wastes. During the agricultrural production, some waste materials will pollute the environment. However, some pollutants will absorb and degrade by the crops and improve the quality of environment. In order to understand the relationship between agricultural production and environmental conservation for the undergraduate students, this general education course includes the agricultural production, ecology conservation, an sustainable agriculture. Both of agricultural production and environmental conservation will achieve in the future.
