視覺藝術創作研究方法之理論基礎探析:以質化研究觀點爲基礎

An Analysis of Theoretical Foundation for Research Methods of Visual Art Production: Qualitative Perpectives

摘要


由於台灣近年來視覺藝術相關研究所或碩博士班之數量快速成長,出現許多創作者研究創作的論文。然而視覺藝術創作之研究涉及相當廣泛而複雜的探討課題,這些課題存在著許多爭議以及尚未成熟的理念與方法。視覺藝術研究生在從事自己創作之研究時,因此經常感到困難,顯然有待澄清與解決。基於此認識,本文擬基於質化研究之觀點,分析視覺藝術創作研究之理論基礎,其包括:其一,視覺藝術創作研究之功能;其二,視覺藝術創作之理念形成與創作省思,包括相關學門之內容與方法;其三,創作之自我評析;以及其四,獨特創作經驗之闡明、洞察、與呈現r之質化研究中藝術研究法之應用。

A recent Taiwan phenomenon shows an increase of visual arts graduate programs, including the MA, MFA and Ph. D. Graduate students in these programs are demanded to research their creative processes. As a result many theses that contained questionable perspectives and presentation styles are produced. The present report attempts to construct a tentative theoretical foundation for such researches with a qualitative perspective. The report includes four sections. The first section contains a discussion of the function of the researches of visual arts production. In regard to the formation of artistic conception and the reflection on the artistic production, the second section looks into various methods offered by related fields. In regard to the self analysis of artistic production, the third section focuses on researches that apply methods of art criticism. The final section deals with methods concerning the illumination and presentation of one's unique meaning making in artistic production.
