Promoting the Network University: The Perspectives of the Deans at the Technical Colleges

推動綱路大學:技專校院教務長的觀點

摘要


本研究以技專校院的教務長爲對象,針對技專校院推動綱路大學的機制與課程類別進行問卷調查,並以開放式的問題徵詢教務長的看法。總共發出問卷76份,回收46份,回收率61%,問卷信度Cronbach alpha值爲.87。研究結果顯示,傳統「即時群播遠距教學」的熱度已經減退,取而代之的是綱際綱路遠距教學,但是還在起步階段,大約僅有半數的學校開設有綱路課程,並且大都以新資訊、商管、人文課程爲主。在推動綱路大學的看法方面,大部份的教務長提出綱路學習可能産生的疑慮與問題,可以概分爲五個構面,分別是管理機制面、大環境面、教材製作面、安全機制面、適用性面等,本文並針對這些疑慮與問題,提出因應的對策。

The aim of this study is to understand the mechanisms and courses offered by the network universities currently promoted by the technical colleges. A questionnaire survey was used to gather data and an open-ended question was also attached to compile the opinions of the deans. A total of 76 questionnaires were sent out and 46 returned with a response rate of 61%. The Cronbach alpha is 0.87. The results indicate that the enthusiasm of traditional synchronous broadcasting distance teaching has declined and the replacement is Internet distance education. However, the process is still in its initial stages. About 50% of the technical colleges provide network courses for students and most of the courses are categorized into; Information Science, Business Management, and Liberal Arts. In the promotion of the Network University, most of the Deans specify the anxieties and problems that may happen. These problems can be classified into five categories: management mechanism, learning environment, teaching material, network security, and adaptation. This paper presents the overall strategies to cope with the problems mentioned above.
