Nasal tip defects can arise from many causes, including malignant tumors such as squamous cell carcinoma or basal cell carcinoma, congenital cleft palate and trauma. In this paper, two patients with traumatic tip defects are described. Retroauricular composite grafts were used to reconstruct the nasal tip defect in both cases. Postoperative results have been satisfactory thus far. This technique adds to the range of operative methods available for nasal tip defect reconstruction, but long term follow-up is essential.
