摘要
台大醫院耳鼻喉部最近3年的頭暈患者新鮮例計3,048名，其中65歲以上的老人有596名，佔19%。比較65歲、75歲、85歲三群病人頭暈或眩暈的主因，可見虛血／梗塞性病變隨著年齡的增加而逐漸地遞減；相形之下，原發性老年性平衡失調則隨著年齡的增加，發生率愈來愈高。在相關疾病方面，25%病人伴有高脂血症，20%病人伴有心臟血管疾病。

A total of 3,048 patients with vertigo or dizziness have visited our neurotologic special clinic in the past 3 years. Of them, 596 (19%) were over 65 years of age. Comparing the etiology of disequilibrium among 65-, 75-, and 85- age groups, we found the incidence of ischemia/infarction lesions was decreased as the patients aged, whereas that of presbyastasis increased. A quarter of these aged dizzy patients were also combined with hyperlipidemia, while one-fifth with cardiovascular disease.
