摘要

口腔、咽喉及食道異物是耳鼻喉科醫師常見之急診病例，一般而言，異物多可經由醫師順利移除，但如果異物久滯，形成埋藏性異物，則可能發生嚴重程度不一之併發症。本科於民國84年8月間，經歷一名68歲男性病患，病人主訴3年前舌背部即有一微小腫塊，近1年來似有增大跡象，經門診切片檢查，結果為黃瘤樣炎症反應(xanthomatous inflammatory reaction)，遂進行手術切除，手術中竟發現腫瘤內藏有一本小魚刺，術後腫塊無再發之跡象。

A rare case of embedded foreign body in the tongue was encountered in our department last year. The 68 years old male patient called at out OPD with the chief complaint of a small mass at left oral tongue for 3 years, and it became progressively enlarged recently. The pathology of biopsy at OPD revealed xanthomatous inflammatory reaction. So, he accepted the mass excision. Surprisingly, an embedded fishbone was discovered in the mass. There was no mass recurrence after operation.
