A rare case of embedded foreign body in the tongue was encountered in our department last year. The 68 years old male patient called at out OPD with the chief complaint of a small mass at left oral tongue for 3 years, and it became progressively enlarged recently. The pathology of biopsy at OPD revealed xanthomatous inflammatory reaction. So, he accepted the mass excision. Surprisingly, an embedded fishbone was discovered in the mass.
