Hemangioblastoma is usually located in cerebellum, but cerebellar sign develop in the late period. The otoneurological examination is a good method to get an early diagnosis. In 1995, we experienced a case of cerebellar hemangioblastoma. The patient had suffered from positional vertigo for 5 months. Vomiting and occasional occipital headache were noted. The condition was aggravated while the head turned to the left side in supine position. Cerebellar tumor was suspected after otoneurological examinations, including pure-tone audiometry, agze nystagnus, positional nystagmus, positioning nystagmus, electronystagmography, brainstem audiometry, etc. Finally, it was proved by MRI & pathological biopsy. The patient underwent a total-excision surgery and recovered gradually. The detailed clinical treatments and pathological findings will be discussed.
