Effects of Conductive Hearing Loss on the Interpretation of ABR Results - Case Report

Although auditory brainstem response (ABR)is more sensitive and specific in determining retrocochlear lesions, there are several factors affecting ABR waveforms, such as polarity, intensity of click stimulus, or the subject’s age or degree and type of hearing loss. Here, we present a middle ear lesion (otosclerosis)deliberate effects of conductive hearing loss on the interpretation of ABR results.
