Some convential audiological tests, e.g. pure tone audiometry (PTA), are subjective hearing tests and what have their limitation. Completion of the tests need subject’s cooperation to get an exact hearing threshold. In this report, we present a non-organic hearing loss (NOHL) case by use of PTA in combination with other objective hearing tests such as tympanogram, acoustic reflex and auditory brainstem response. This testing protocol for differential diagnosis of NOHL is quite effective and reliable. There is no single hearing test that can consistently infer the presence of NOHL. For a malingerer, the result of a single hearing test is unreliable and unconsistent. Therefore, hearing evalution in a NOHL case should include subjective and objective tests.
