The purpose of this article is to explain why teachers have difficulty changing conventional teaching practices in the classroom. First, it discusses about how to play the role of teachers from scholar’s viewpoint according to the theory of curriculum implementation. Secondly, it analyzes the practical teaching for teachers in the schools. Between teachers’ role and curriculum reform, there is a dialectic relationship built by its contrast and collaboration. Finally, it describes the different ways about how to strive toward for teachers. After teachers become the most important element of curriculum reform, they need to be self-reflective and try to how to progress through self-reflection.
