魏氏成人智慧量表修訂初步報告

A Preliminary Report on the Revision of Wais for the Chinese People

摘要


1.本研究之目的在修訂WAIS,以適合國內使用,其形式保留原測驗之格式,內容則依照我國國情重加修訂。 2.本研究以五五三人為預試對象,其中男性三四八人,女性二○五人,均選自臺灣北部地區。 3.經由各年齡組測驗結果之比較,發現應用修訂後之測驗所得之結果,尚與智力發展之理論相符合,此種結果是本測驗分年齡組製訂常模之充分而必要之條件。 4.本測驗結果與WAIS常模相接近,這或可證明經修訂後的測驗,尚能維持原測驗之精神。 5.男女受試者在各種測驗所得之結果相近,故無須就男女分別制訂常模。 6.本測驗採用折半相關法攷驗信度;語文量表、作業量表及全量表之信度係數分別為0.92,0.95及0.91。 7.本測驗會分別與普通分類測驗及瑞文氏非文字推理測驗求相關,其相關係數分別為0.73及0.78,證明修訂後測驗的效度尚能令人滿意。 8.由內部相關研究結果,發現本測驗的組合,與塞斯頓之羣因子理論相符合,這似可證明本測驗不失為一良好之測驗。 9.本測驗之修訂手續大致完成,至於擴大取樣,以建立常模的工作,則正在逐步進行中。

The main purpose of this research is to make WAIS suitable for measuring the intelligence of the Chinese adults. To meet this purpose, the form of the original Scale has been reserved while the contents of test items have been revised according to the cultural and social situations of China. The number of subjects for pretest is. 553 with 348 men and 205 women, They are inhabitants of the northern part of Taiwan, and are drawn from different occupations. Their age ranged from 16 to 54. The testing results have been carefully analysed. The means, standard deviations, F-ratios and t-statistics were computed. All these data have been compared with the American norms of WAIS standardized sample. The result of this study indicates that this revised Scale is an adequate instrument for measuring and appraising adult intelligence in China. The statistical analysis of test scores suggests that there are differences between six age groups and the changes, in general, are in congruence with the theories of intelligence development. On this account, it will be necessary to establish the respective norm for each age group. However, the sex differences of the test scores are negligible so that there is no need to establish separate norms for males and females. The reliability coefficients of the Verbal, Performance, and Full Scale are 0.92, 0.95, and 0.91 respectively. The validity coefficient of Full Scale is 0.73 as correlated with General Classification Test, and is 0.78 as correlated with Raven’s Progressive Matrices.
