血清核醣核酸酶用於診斷胰臟癌之價值

The Value of Serum Ribonuclease in the Diagnosis of Pancreatic Cancer

摘要

Serum ribonuclease (RNase) activity (mean±S.D.) with polycytidinic acid as substrate was determined in 40 healthy adults (175.4±32.5U/ml), 44 patients with pancreatic cancer (249.4±142.9U/ml), 35 patients with pancreatitis (276.5±165.2U/ml), and 63 patients with other gastrointestinal neoplasms (226.4±105.1 U/mi). Although the values of RNase activity in the sera of patients with pancreatic cancer are statistically higher than those of healthy controls (P<0.001), pancreatic cancer can not be differentiated from pancreatitis or other gastrointestinal neoplasms based on serum RNase activities (F=1.59, P>0.5). The serum RNase activities of 32 patients with cancer of pancreatic head (262.8±160.3U/ml) are not stastically different (P>0.1) from those of 12 patients with cancer of pancreatic body or tail (226.1±76.7U/ml). The serum activity of RNase did not parallel well with the stages of pancreatic cancer. It is concluded that determination of serum RNase activity is of limited value in the differential diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, pancreatitis, and other gastrointestinal neoplasms. Its value in the diagnosis of pancreatic abscess and early stage of pancreatic cancer needs further investigation.
