英雄遺恨與歷史哀歌：「元曲悲劇」初探與《西蜀夢》

摘要

本文論述核心有二，其一，爲探究中國戲劇是否存有「悲劇」之品類。文中以「元刊雜劇」中帶有悲怨、憾恨結局的五部戲作爲討論對象，佐以西方以《詩學》爲主的悲劇理論分析、觀察，得出結論爲：元代悲劇以英雄、哀歌、遺恨風格爲主，故可以「元『曲』悲劇」名之。其二爲《西獨夢》的細讀，佐以時代相近的平話、詞話情節敘事，觀察元代雜劇的特殊視角，及其「曲文」所呈現的哀淒氛圍，作爲「元『曲』悲劇」的最佳例證。

This paper has two main theses: one is to reexamine the arguable question-is there any ”tragedy” in Chinese drama? It analyzes five plays of Yuankun zaju (Yuan edition plays) which end in a regretful mood and tragic aura, comparing them with the Western theories such as Aristotle's Poetics. The preliminary conclusion is there is probably a kind of tragedy genre in Yuan drama, but it is more lyrical, expressed mainly in song suits. The subject of Yuan tragedy is of hero, its style is of lament, and the aura is of regret. The other core of this paper is the close-reading of the representative of this dramatic genre-The Dream of Western Shu, also comparing with the contemporary Yuan pinghua and Ming cihua, so we might understand more about the specific viewpoints of Yuan tragedy.
