The self-efficacy is the essential factor to obtain and effectively maintain the skill. The creative performance of digital image may reach the suitable standard because of the skill training. Therefore this study took the digital image compositing technique (DICT) as the subject, the purposes are: (1) the differences of self-efficacy, (2) creative performances between beginners (university student) and experts (graduate student) in DICT, and correlation of self-efficacy and creative performance in DICT. The study developed two research tools to investigate self-efficacy and evaluate creative performances of the DICT's works of 106 beginners and experts. The results are: The DICT's experts (1) had significantly high confidences, inclinations, interests, volitions, and total quantity of self-efficacy, (2) had significantly excellent frequency and elaboration, weak flexibility and originality. However, there were no significant difference between DICT's experts and beginners. (3) There are low correlations between self-efficacy and creative performance of DICT. The suggestions are: (1) the image related branch of universities should train students to mastery skills. (2) The purpose of continued researches is to experiment the strategies of self-efficacy promotion.
