摘要

The purpose of this study was to investigate the performance of sprint and hurdle in Taiwan from 2004 to 2008. Records obtained from the Chinese Taipei Track and Field Association official website. Records of the top 10 male/female sprinters and hurdlers in Taiwan from 2004 to 2008 were the research subjects. One-way ANOVA was used for statistics. Significance was set at an a level of 0.05. There was significantly difference in male 100 m between 2004 and 2006 (p＜.05). In female events, there were significantly difference between 2005 and 2007 in 400 m and 2004 and 2008 in 100 m hurdle (p＜.05). In conclusion, records of sprint and hurdle was decreased in the recent 5 years. It might be important to integrate training and sports sciences to improve the performance of sprint and hurdle.
