太極拳影響中老年人平衡之文獻回顧

The Impacts of Taijiquan on Balance of the Elderly: A Literature Review

摘要


中老年人因跌倒所引發的健康風險及醫療成本巨大,不僅會影響日常活動及獨自生活的能力,也增加了再次跌倒、急診、住院、感染、併發症或早逝的風險,另其衍生的醫療費用也相當可觀。太極拳已經被證實是適合中老年人用以改善平衡增進體能及減少跌倒機率的有效運動,而其過程注重精神專注及心靈平靜,也是很好的心智鍛鍊方式,不僅可以增進生理機能,對心理層面亦多所助益。

The health related problems and medical costs caused by falls in elderly people are significant. It affects their daily lives and the ability to live independently, as well as an increased risk of falls, emergency room visits, hospitalization, infection, complications or early death. Taijiquan has been proven to be an effective exercise for improving coordination, enhancing physical fitness and reducing the risk of falls in middle-aged and older people. It is also a good mental training for enhancing concentration and emotional wellbeing, thus being beneficial for physical function and cognitive performance.
