Beitou is famous for its hot springs, and the development is also related to the transformation of the hot spring landscape. Through the perspective of cultural landscape, this research talks about the re-connection of hot springs and tourism, how it activated the change of landscape, and tries to look into the imagination from different aspects by interview. The annulment of public prostitution in the 1970s made the landscape of hot springs less erotic factor-filled, and the hot spring industry fell apart after that. It was not until the 1990s, when the locals spoke up and motivated the construction of Beitou Hot Spring Museum, that ignited the reborn of hot springs, also stirring the different imagination of the public, the hot spring owner and the residents. And the controversy of Beitou Gondola pointed out the everyone gets different opinions towards the landscape development, which revealed that landscapes is not just what it seem to be; there must be some different aspects and meanings behind it.
