This study explored the effects of Memory Enhancing Vocabulary Learning Strategy Instruction (MEVLSI) on vocabulary learning in English as a Second Language setting. A qualitative interview on a female teacher, an 11-year old male student, and his father were carried out. It was concluded that MEVLSI facilitated the student's' vocabulary acquisition. This study also suggested that MEVLSI could increase ESL/EFL students', interest in learning English vocabulary words.
