The energy saving controller in the building was proposed to integrate the H2/H∞ controller and the wireless communication. The Zigbee wireless communication modules acquired the feedback parameters of the field information such as the temperature, humidity and energy consumption. The H2/H∞ controller based on linear quadratic Gaussian (LQG) consisted of a state-feedback estimator and optimal feedback regulator. For maintaining a comfortable temperature in the building, the H2/H∞ controller that combined the heating load model of building with feedback information can appropriately adjust the control parameters to maintain the occupant comfort in minimum energy consumption. The comparison of the simulation results of the H2/H∞ and PID controller showed that the H2/H∞ controller was more energy saving than PID with about 5.5%.
