Deep neck space infections have become rare due to the common application of antibiotics. While most infections are considered odontogenic, the condition may become urgent and fatal without efficient management. A thorough examination should be performed to identify the cause of the infection. The management plan includes proper antibiotic administration, airway management, and source elimination. A parapharyngeal abscess is a fatal infection of the head and neck region caused by odontogenic infection. We present the case of a patient presenting with mild trismus, fever, and suspected tonsillitis, without associated facial swelling. During examination we identified the cause of the odontogenic infection. After receiving proper antibiotic treatment and undergoing surgical intervention, the patient stabilized and was discharged.
