Head and Neck Osteosarcoma-Report of Two Cases and Literatures Review

Head and neck osteosarcoma is a malignant bone tumor with rare incidence, which resulted in lacking treatment guidelines. The current concept of treatment remained confusing, with the only accepted treatment being surgical resection, as the effects of chemotherapy were still controversial. We presented two cases. Both of them underwent surgical resection, but only one of them received neoadjuvant chemotherapy before surgery. We also reviewed the treatment protocol currently, including debated neoadjuvant chemotherapy, the standard treatment of resection with wide normal tissue margin, and adjuvant chemotherapy and radiotherapy depending on the pathological report.

頭頸部骨肉瘤是一種罕見的惡性骨腫瘤，由於目前所知的案例並不多，無法獲得一個完整的治療方針，因此目前對於治療的方式尚不明確，且化學治療在其中扮演的角色仍有爭議性。我們蒐集了兩個案例，兩者均以手術完整切除，但其中一個在手術前先做前導式化學治療後再以手術切除。本文同時回顧目前文獻中提及的治療方式：包含了（1）仍具爭議性的前導式化學治療，（2）目前建議之標準治療，即以手術徹底的切除並有足夠廣泛的正常組織邊緣，且（3）根據病理報告決定是否做術後輔助性化學治療及放射線治療。
