Since the trend of direct investment in China had risen during the 1990s, most Taiwan stone companies had planed to deploy the multiple-plant operation between Taiwan and China. It's for the sake of obtaining lower manufacturing cost, abundant quarries, and benefits from Preferences Policy for Foreign Capital issued by China Government. This study attempts to develop the context of multi-plant supply chain according to the parameters acquired from field surveys, and sequentially constructs the best model of managerial decision for Taiwan operators. The ultimate target of the model suggests guarantee the lowest cost in the operation of overall system. Expectedly, we assist operators to integrate information in details derived from every valued activity in the shortest time, and generate the ideal combination in essential part of supply-chain activities. Comparing with the operation of traditional human experience, our transnational multi-plant supply chain model that can reduce the total cost about 3%~11% is an effective instrument for practical carriers. This research benefits the transnational multi-plan operators in managerial analysis and strategic planning; and hence, it assists operators to create the better competitiveness in the worldwide market.
