There are two objectives in this study. One is to examine the difference in performance, working postures, muscle activation levels, and subjective rating as a result of mouse use. The second objective is to generate a sizing system for the design of the mouse. It was found in the study that the height of mouse is the major factor that affect the wrist extexion angles and the activation levels of extensor carpi radialias longus. The recommended height is 3.4 plus 0.1 centimeter. The size of the mouse is an important factor that has impacts on the wrist deviation angle, the activation of extensor carpi ulnaris, and the comfort rating on the plam. The recommended size is over 75 square centimeter. In addition, clicking strength has to do with the thumb abduction angle. The recommended strength value is 1.0 plus or minus 0.2N. For users who have smaller palm size, a smaller mouse is recommended. For those who have larger palm size, a larger mouse is more appropriate.
