Occupational safety and health is important to all industries. It not only safeguards the welfare of workers, but also improves efficiency and effectiveness. It helps to enhance quality and profit, and keep positive image of companies. In order to keep occupational safety, it is essential to maintain tasks, equipment and work environments in sound condition. More importantly, it should be treated in organizational and socio-technical levels by adopting a macroergonomical point of view. This research incorporated safety management ideas from various sources including BS 8800 and OHSAS 18001 to come up with a safety management checklist. In which checklist, macroergonomical point of view is stressed to ensure its usefulness.
