When anterior teeth are traumatized, frontal impacts can often result in crown-root fractures and it is difficult to restore these teeth. Treatment options include fragment reattachment, orthodontic extrusion, gingivectomy or crown lengthening procedures, surgical extrusion or intentational replantion. These methods have both advantages and disadvantages, and the choice depends on prognosis of the tooth, esthetics, occlusion of the remaining dentition, patients' finances, time, systemic conditions, compliances and personal preferences. This report presents two cases using intentional replantation with 180-degree rotation for the treatment of crown-root fractured permanent teeth. At 1-year follow up, the periodontal conditions are stable and no root resorption can be found on the radiographic examination.(J. Family Dent. 6(2): 41-48, 2011)
