摘要

近幾年來，青少年跟年輕族群在口腔內外穿環的比例有增加的趨勢，由於會危及口腔、牙齒、及全身健康的風險及併發症，牙醫師及醫療人員須多加關注，害怕失去牙齒常是病人就醫的原因，通常口內會伴隨牙齦萎縮，治療的方法包括移除穿環、洗牙與牙根整平、以及牙根覆蓋，以期增加角化牙齦寬度、改善清潔狀況、以及降低牙齒敏感的情形。（J. Family Dent. 6（3）：26－33，2011）

In recent years, intraoral and perioral piercings have grown in popularity among teenagers and young adults. This is of concern to dental and medical professionals because of the risks and complications for oral, dental and general health. Fear of losing teeth is common among patients presenting with gingival recession. Treatment of gingival recession involves removal of the causative agent, scaling and root planing, and root coverage, which yield an increase in the width of the keratinized gingiva, improvement in hygiene status, and absence of dental hypersensitivity.
