Non-surgical Periodontal Therapy and Pathologic Tooth Migration-A Case Report

摘要

這篇病例報告的目的，是證明了非手術性牙周病的治療，可以達到牙周病治療明確的效果。這位病例的臨床探測深度降低，牙齦發炎降低以及臨床探測附連增加，同時有放射線檢查顯示牙周骨支持的增加。這篇病例報告的另一個目的，是探討嚴重牙周病病理性牙齒位移，以及繼發的次級咬合創傷經常造成牙周病治療後復的困擾。使用治療性過渡補綴物（therapeutic provisional prosthesis, TPP）合併的牙周補綴咬合療法，應用在重症牙周炎區域併有咬合創傷的上門齒區，這種方式成功的降低了牙齒的搖動度，並且恢復了令病人滿意的咀嚼以及美觀功能。

The purpose of this case report is to present a case in which the non-surgical periodontal therapy (NSPT) has been approved to be an effective method for periodontal disease. The case has clearly demonstrated how NSPT can improve the result in reducing probing depths and gingival inflammation as well as increasing the clinical probing attachment and radiodensity of periodontal supporting bone. Another purpose is to discuss about the pathologic tooth migration and secondary occlusal trauma, which often disturb the prosthetic reconstruction after periodontal therapy. Therapeutic provisional prosthesis (TPP) was used in upper anterior incisors with severe advanced periodontitis combined with trauma from occlusion, which can decrease the mobility of teeth and recover satisfactory chewing and esthetic function.
