摘要

多數的下顎第一小臼齒只有單一根管，但出現兩根管以上複雜根管形態的機率並不低（12.9-46%），因此這些牙齒在治療上就有較高的難度。要有成功的非手術性根管治療必須要對這顆牙齒的根管形態有所了解，Sert和Bayirli分類之第九類（type IX）根管形態的下顎第一小臼齒在過去文獻鮮少被提及。本病例報告為Type IX之下顎第一小臼齒臨床治療病例。

Most of the mandibular first premolar has one canal, however, the prevalence rate of mandibular first premolar with more than two canals complicated configuration is not low (12.9-46%). Therefore, endodontic therapy for these teeth is more difficult. A successful nonsurgical endodontic therapy depends on understanding of the root and root canal morphology. The occurrence of documented cases of a mandibular first premolar with Sert and Bayirli's type IX root canal configuration is rare. This case report describes the endodontic therapy of a mandibular first premolar with type IX root canal configuration.
