骨性三級咬合不正之齒顎矯正合併正顎手術治療：病例報告
Surgical-orthodontic Treatment of Skeletal Class III - A Case Report

In Taiwan, skeletal Class III jaw relation has a higher incident rate than the white population. The etiology of skeletal Class III jaw relation including excessive growth of mandible, deficient growth of maxilla, and the combination of both. In dealing with skeletal Class III jaw relation combine facial asymmetry, the common treatment plan is mandible set back with jaw rotation. If orthodontic treatment only is used in severe skeletal Class III problem, it may make the chin more prominent. Therefore, orthognathic surgery combined orthodontic therapy can achieve better occlusion and facial aesthetic.
